Q: ARE ONLINE DEGREE DIPLOMAS DIFFERENT THAN FULL-TIME RAU DIPLOMAS?
Both diplomas are exactly the same. You will receive an official diploma from the Russian-American University or the partner university of the FFitU. The diploma obtained from the results of online training has the same weight as the diploma obtained during full-time education.
Q: WHO ACCREDITED FFITU ONLINE PROGRAMS?
The NEASC Association (Association of New England Schools and Universities) accredited the partner university, confirming that the implemented distance programs meet international quality standards. Professional programs may also have additional accreditations.
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE MY PROGRAM?
You can complete most Master’s online programs in two years, though it depends on the chosen program. For more precise information, please consult the director of your selected program.
Q: HOW DOES THE ONLINE PROGRAM WORK? DO I HAVE TO BE AT THE COMPUTER EVERY DAY AT CERTAIN TIMES?
When you become a student of the FFitU online program, you gain access to selected disciplines through an online learning management system. In the course of each discipline you register, complete assignments, and take exams as full-time study. Discussion forums, online classes, and group projects include interaction with teachers and classmates. You can access assignments online at any time of the day or night. You must complete each assignment within the time frame set by your teacher.
Many courses hold weekly live online meetings. Using web conferencing tools, you will join an online lesson, which can consist of a lecture, presentation, group work, or other interactive assignments. All online lessonsare recorded and, if necessary, are available for you to view after the lesson has finished.
Q: WHAT KIND OF SUPPORT IS PROVIDED FOR ONLINE STUDENTS?
During the training, we offer a variety of academic, technical, and program support. The program director administers academic information and answers questions about admission, registration, and the learning process. The program director also helps in selecting the disciplines of the program and making decisions about employment.
In the distance education department, academic curators help students during the entire training in FFitU. The curator provides orientation for students in the online environment of each discipline. Curators provide timely information about ordering training materials; they also answer questions about the training management system, beginning coursework, and final exams.
Information Technologies Department of FFitU (UI FFitU)provides technical support to students during training, including troubleshooting, software,and tools to improve productivity, as well as support for the management of virtual computer labs. Q: HOW MANY STUDENTS WILL BE IN MY GROUP?
Group sizes vary. As a rule, the group consists of 15 students, and a separate coordinator is assigned to each group. Professors typically conduct live broadcasts for a larger number of students comprised of these smaller groups.
Q: HOW DO I APPLY?
There are specific requirements and conditions for each program of the Russian-American University. The admissions committee, located in the Moscow office, will help you navigate the process. Detailed information about the program you are interested in is available in the online program section.
Q: IS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE?
FFitU provides a number of resources that help you consider the various options for paying tuition. Q: IS THERE AN INTRODUCTORY COURSE FOR ONLINE STUDENTS?
Yes, at the beginning of the training, you are enrolled in the introductory course, where the curators introduce you to the online environment of the FFitU.
